A bloody day dawns over Israel!
Hamas recently fired thousands of rockets at Israel and then launched ground attacks against the Jewish state: war broke out.
The conflict between the two sides has existed for a long time, but Israel's defence system usually intercepted smaller rocket attacks successfully. This time, thousands of rockets were fired in less than half an hour and the defence was not perfect. The rockets that struck killed people and injured many. America sent a warship to the region.
Alongside the Ukrainian–Russian war, the war in Israel adds further uncertainty. Other flashpoints around the world could also turn into wars; consider Taiwan.
In short, instead of moving towards reconciliation, the world is seeing new conflicts intensify with bloody outcomes.
These events clearly affect the world economy and the value of our money. Gold and oil prices reacted almost immediately. History teaches us that only one “form of saving” remains valuable both in peace and in war: gold.
Keep your savings in a form that preserves value—own gold!
